The College of Education provides the most new teachers to the state of Wisconsin. UW-Whitewaters athletic department has some of the biggest and best facilities in NCAA Division III and is home to some of the most competitive teams and athletes. The Warhawks have won national championships in volleyball, baseball, and most recently football. UW-Whitewater also provides exceptional support for students. The AMA chapter is just one of the more than 160 student organizations available to students. UW-Whitewater has a national reputation for undergraduate research. The university consistently sends one of the largest groups of students to the National Conference on Undergraduate Research. In 2007, nearly 80 student researchers traveled to NCUR, the second highest number of participants in the nation. UW-Whitewater also recognizes the importance of international education. The university offers many different short-term and semester-long travel study opportunities across the globe.
