The University of North Texas, with more than 36,000 students, is the leading university of the Dallas-Fort Worth region and the state’s fourth largest. Listed as a doctoral/research university-extensive, UNT is ranked in the top 4 percent of U.S. colleges and universities by the Carnegie Foundation.
